Many agrifood MSMEs in Myanmar still depend on costly fossil fuels, resulting in significant financial strain and environmental challenges. Further Agrifood MSMEs often use outdated equipment that uses enormous amounts of energy for a given level of production, thereby lowering their profit margins.
MSMEs interested in investing in energy-saving and renewable technologies such as solar power and biomass energy, achieving up to a 35% reduction in energy consumption, that not only lower operational costs but also enhance competitiveness within Myanmar’s agricultural sector, qualify for RBF+ grant support.
RBF+ is inviting Agrifood MSMEs and Agri-input MSMEs interested in investing in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy technologies to benefit from RBF+ grant support up to MMK 200 million per project.
